It invites you to take your spaceship to explore and colonise a universe rich with diverse planets, creatures and fauna. Facing so vast a space is daunting at first, but a rhythm of survival, combat and trading draws you into a space drama of your own making. Choose a home planet and join other players to subdue the wilds of this breathtaking universe.
You can play No Man's Sky in an optional VR mode, with several different options for comfort and movement.

Rated ESRB TEEN for Fantasy Violence, Animated Blood. As players pilot spacecraft to different planets, they can engage in space combat against enemy ships and space pirates; combat is accompanied by laser fire and large explosions. While on the planet surface, players can use a variety of gun-like weapons and melee attacks to defeat alien creatures, human-like figures, and robots. Ground battles can be frenetic with frequent laser blasts, explosions, and screen-shaking effects. Players can also explore the interior of derelict ships, some of which are infested with parasitic creatures; some creatures emit large splatters of green blood when shot.
Users Interact: The game enables players to interact and communicate with each other, so may expose players to language usually associated with older rated games.
Rated for younger players in Europe. Rated PEGI 7 for Violence. Players can battle other human-like characters in a space suit. Shooting them with energy weapons does not result in obvious harm. When defeated, they fall down in an unrealistic fashion without any injuries shown. While flying through space, players can engage in combat with hostile alien ships. These battles are typical space shooter dogfights, where laser beams are flying all over the screen. However, you do not see those inside the ships harmed. The player can also harm the non-human creatures living on the planets. However, the violence depicted is unrealistic with no physical injuries or blood.
Skill Level
12+ year-olds usually have the required skill to enjoy this game. The huge open world is the skill challenge here. You need to have the skill and maturity to explore and find your own fun. Along with this, there is the management of resources, navigation and dealing with other players.
