Hamilton County Courts have joined a state-led pilot program that sends text message reminders to petitioners and respondents in divorce, paternity, and other family cases to remind them of upcoming court hearings. The program is designed to improve court attendance. Anyone interested in participating should update their cell number with the Clerk's office. The service is voluntary, and parties can opt out at any time.

No doubt this will be beneficial for self-represented parties AND save clients and their lawyers a little bit of time (which would otherwise be billed). This is a really good idea. Maybe consider expanding it to other case types beyond family law? Often times, criminal defendants “forget when their court date is”. Other times, criminal defendants forget when their court date is.

I don’t have a need, but are you also guaranteeing complete privacy and non-sharing of those numbers? That should be put in writing in advance! I WOULD NOT SHARE UNLESS HC COURTS PUT IN WRITING your security!
